Couples therapy is a container to help partners strengthen their connection, improve communication, and navigate relational challenges with greater understanding and skill.
Most couples are unclear about what the purpose of their partnership is, where they are headed together, and what conditions they are committed. to sustaining for each other — thus the goal of therapy is to gain clarity and cultivate an alliance that is secure, resilient, and aligned with both partners’ values, needs and goals.
When a couples' intention for intimacy and connection is met with curiosity and space, the relational tensions and dysfunctional patterns can be used to cultivate a partnership that grows and thrives with the ebbs and flows of life.
Each partner comes with their unique hurts and strengths, rigidities and flexibilities; all of which can be seen and utilized for the deepest levels of healing.
This work is not always easy, but I have seen it become something couples look forward to doing together. It is my hope that you will learn about yourselves, each other, and what nurtures a healthy relationship so you can find more meaning, connection, and joy during all seasons of your relationship.
Common areas of focus:
Communication & conflict resolution
Attachment & Emotional security
Intimacy & Connection
Trust & Betrayal Repair
Roles, Expectations, & Values
Co-nervous system regulation
Autonomy & Interdependence
Management of external pressures & stressors
